Skim Coating
Thin coats that bring uneven, textured or patched walls back to flat.
Skim coating is a thin layer of plaster or compound applied over an existing wall or ceiling to make it flat and smooth. It is the usual answer when the surface is sound but the finish is tired, textured, patchy or covered in old repairs.

Can you skim coat over textured ceilings?

How much dust does it make?
